Alignment is a site specific public artwork designed for the Fort Belvoir Bus Rapid Transit station in Fairfax County, Virginia. Integrated into the station’s glass windscreen system, the work unfolds across a continuous visual field that traces the site’s transformation from Indigenous land and plantation ground to military infrastructure, engineering command, and contemporary federal campus. A continuous red line moves through the full composition, shifting in form as it responds to each historical era and linking land, movement, communication, and systems of power across time.
